Welcome to my neck of the woods
Ever thought yoga wasn't for you?
Maybe you've felt like it's only for the ultra-fit or the deeply spiritual. Maybe you're curious but think you don't fit the mold. Believe me, You're not alone—I used to feel the same way.
Yoga found me almost by accident! When I was 17, my mom signed me up for a teacher training as a birthday gift. I had only attended one yoga class before and had no idea what to expect.
I love how minimalistic yoga is; all you need is a mat, and sometimes not even that. The practice can be as intense or as gentle as you choose, and it always makes me feel good in both mind and body.
Fast forward six years, and I've taught yoga on and off to people of all ages, in various locations (some off the beaten path). My class styles have evolved, but my reason for teaching remains the same:
You don't need to be an all-knowing monk to inspire others to find balance and pursue their deepest desires.
Yoga is for everybody and every body
You know how it feels to wake up on vacation?
That is what a class with me feels like.
A sun nap you never knew you needed.
A day in the mountains snowboarding with friends.
You know when you go home and your dog is just so damn happy to see you. After yoga you’ll understand your dog.
It’s like waking up to the smell of bacon. You're 16 again and your mom is making pancakes.
It's that breathless gasp after jumping into the lake for the first time of the summer.
How we’re Different
Yoga on Your Terms
We understand that traditional yoga spaces can sometimes feel exclusive or intimidating. Our focus is on helping you find what works best for you, without the need to fit into a preconceived notion of what a yogi should be. You’re free to practice in a way that feels right, without any expectations to fit a particular style.
Immersive Practice
At Awoke Wild, we don’t just throw a mat down and call it a day. We offer a truly immersive and nurturing experience, incorporating oil-infused sessions, hands-on adjustments, and personalized care that includes alternative postures and correct alignment guidance. We ensure that your self-care time is truly your own.
Down to Earth
Life doesn’t have to be so serious all the time, and there’s something really refreshing about embracing that. We are real people doing real things, and together, let’s have a little fun. Life is full of hardships, and we’re done with being hard on ourselves—we deserve to enjoy the ride.
